IFCW's mission is to work for children worldwide to improve the quality of their lives, and to enhance opportunities for the development of their full potential. This mission represents a commitment by IFCW's members to work for the fulfillment of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in every nation and is to be achieved through the strengthening of nongovernmental child welfare organizations (NGOs) worldwide in their direct and indirect service to children and families by:
- Organizing and improving information exchange and cooperation among members.
- Educating world opinion on the interest and well-being of children.
- Promoting and organizing WorldForum, seminars and study groups.
- Cooperating with other recognized bodies having similar objectives.
Since 1982, CHCF has been uniting education and advocacy to expand opportunities, amplify our voice and create shared prosperity for all Americans. Believing that the most effective way to serve Latino families is by building upon their existing strengths and fostering self-sufficiency, CHCF provides a number of programs and services to the community through Youth Development Programs and an Early Care and Education Institute. Grounded in its direct services, CHCF is active in the local, state, and national policy arenas around issues of child welfare, early care and education, and civic participation. Each year, CHCF serves approximately 10,000 children and families directly. At CHCF, we believe that the success of our country is tied to the success of the Latino community. That's why we provide services that improve the lives of Latino children and families.
